It is the culmination of several years of aerial shots, and the fruit of close collaboration with Christian Salès, editor, friend, and head of the group OC.

From the coast to the Pyrenees following the Canal du Midi, châteaux, abbeys, bastides and circular villages offer a kaleidoscope of beauty as the seasons unfold. Cathar country: a land of "good men" and "good women", a region with character. It was the theatre of huge tragedies during the bloody crusade against the Albigensians.

The traces of its stormy history and rich past still mark the land. Its riches spill out across the pages of this book. They are for you to enjoy - from a viewpoint reserved strictly for the birds.
